The application site is within the curtilage of the former British Rail Hotel on 58-59 North Wall Quay, a protected structure (RPS 5838), and associated granite walls, railings, gates, and adjoining setts in cul-de-sac, which are also protected structures (RPS 5839). The application relates to a proposed development within the North Lotts & Grand Canal Dock SDZ Planning Scheme Area. The proposed development comprises the change of use at ground floor level from permitted café/restaurant use (DCC Reg. Ref.
