Development Description:

the development at this site located in the townland Clonarrow or Riverlyons, Co. Offaly.The Development will consist of: a) The erection of a temporary 100m high lattice type meteorological mast which will be secured to ground anchors by stay wires and will include instruments for measuring local climate conditions, services, and associated equipment; b) A fixed red aviation light will be fitted near the top of the lattice section of the proposed meteorological mast; c) Bird flight deterrent markers fitted to each stay wire at approximately 10m intervals; and d) All associated ancillary works. The temporary meteorological mast development will remain in position for a period of 5 years after which the mast, instruments, services, equipment, and all associated ancillary works will be removed. The purpose of the meteorological mast is to accurately measure the weather conditions at this site
