Permission for development which consists of: The University of Galway is applying for planning permission for development at the Learning Commons Facility which is under construction (Pl. Ref. No. 23/104), located on the southern campus of the University of Galway, Distillery Road, Co. Galway, to erect new signage which will consist of the following: 1. 2 no. signage (3.75m x 0.6m) and (9.587m x 1.37m) on the south elevation, 2. 3 no. signage (7.4m x 2.07m), (3.72m x 1.3m) and (9.535m x 1.53m) on the east elevation, 3. 2 no. signage (7.4m x 1.84m) and (9.06m x 1.53m) on the west elevation. The proposed site is located immediately west of Protected Structure Ref 8501 (rivers & waterways), circa 40 meters north-west of Protected Structure Ref 7003 (Arts Science Building) and circa 155 metres north-west of Protected Structure 7001 (James Hardiman Library)
