Development Description:

Permission for development which consists of: Planning permission is sought by the Galway Harbour Company for development at a site located on the centre pier in the Galway Harbour, New Docks, in the townland of Townparks, Co. Galway. The proposed development will consist of the following: 1. Dismantling and removal of the existing c. 257 sqm shed and the making good of the ground conditions following its dismantling. 2. Provision of additional surface water drainage measures to improve and ensure the adequacy of surface water run-off management on the site. 3. Provision of all associated site works and ancillary services necessary to facilitate the proposed development. The proposed development seeks to improve the efficiency and safety of ongoing port operations and will not lead to any material change of use or intensification of existing operations. This application is supported by a Natura Impact Statement (NIS)
