Development Description:

The Commissioners of Public Works in Ireland (OPW) intend to apply for permission for development at this site, The Museum of Country Life, Turlough Park, Gortnafolla, Turlough, County Mayo. The development will consist of works to the exhibition galleries to the north of Turlough House and will incorporate the following: (a) Extension to the existing building at the public entrance level to create a public entrance lobby. New entrance/exit doors and associated glazed screens. Internal alterations to enlarge and re-order the public entrance area. (B) Associated site works, services and landscaping. The development is located within the curtilage of Turlough House, which is a protected structure - RPS No. 0011 - as listed in the Record of Protected Structures of the Mayo County Council, County Development Plan 2014-2020.
