Development Description:

a 10 year planning permission for development at the site. The development will consist of: (1) Provision of Constructed Wetland (CW) type Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) for the treatment of wastewater from the agglomeration comprising 1 no. septic tank and 4 no. CW ponds; (2) Construction of maintenance road surrounding the CW ponds; (3) Provision of new access to the CW WWTP site from the public road; (4) Provision of a new terminal Wastewater Pumping Station (WWPS) including MCC kiosk, wet kiosk, stairs with access gate to the kiosks, vent stack (6m high), and stormwater management (36m3) located at the car park opposite to SS Cuan and Broghan Church, off the main road; (5) Decommission of the existing Clonea Power WWTP; (6) Ancillary works associated with the development including the associated pipework, fencing, proposed WWTP site drainage, and landscaping. A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) will be submitted to the Planning Authority with this application.
