upgrades to the existing Kilsheelan Wastewater Treatment Plant comprising new inlet works; decommissioning the existing Storm Water Overflow (SWO); an upgrade of existing secondary treatment process; upsizing of sections of the inlet and outlet pipes; a new interprocess pumping station; a new storm water management system, including a storm tank and associated infrastructure; provision of a new above ground sludge storage tank; a new gravity pipeline; the decommissioning and demolishing the existing septic tank currently serving the Poll an Choire estate; a new access road; an upgrade of the existing control building, which will include a rainwater harvesting system; the construction of a new welfare building; Ancillary Mechanical Electrical Instrumentation Control and Automation (MEICA) works; the relocation of some existing infrastructure; the installation of a ground mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) array and associated ancillary works including siteworks - A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) has been prepared for the proposed development and an application will be submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency for a revision of the current Wastewater Discharge Licence
