Development Description:
Permission for proposed works at existing service station permitted under Cork County Council ref: 18/7323 and 21/6213 at site at East Cork Oil service station. Proposed works: 1) the extension of the site to the east, north and south to increase the overall site/development area to provide new truck fuelling area with 2 no. truck/HGV fuel dispensing pumps, new truck parking area, new automatic car wash, new manual car wash, 2 no. underground fuel storage tanks , 2 no. new interceptors, additional vehicular parking area and new site lighting, 2) demolition of existing solid structures forming existing east and south – facing boundaries and removal of 1 no. fuel dispensing pump and ancillary plant located at existing southern and eastern boundaries and to block up 1 no. existing vehicular access gate currently serving field to rear of site to facilitate proposed developments, 3) to construct new 0.9m high front boundary wall to match existing and to extend adjoining public footpath, 4) to construct new single storey flat roof extensions to front and side elevation of existing amenity building to provide additional retail area to serve existing shop (total retail area = 96.4sq.m) and to provide additional ancillary indoor seating area, 5) proposed alterations to existing amenity building elevations to include relocation of existing signage and provision of new signage, 6) new extension and modifications to existing forecourt canopy, 7) alterations to existing forecourt to include relocation of 1 no. fuel dispensing pump and provision of 1 no. additional fuel dispensing pump, 8) to relocate existing free-standing totem advertising sign onsite to southern end of site, 9) modifications to 1no. existing vehicular entrance serving service station, 10) to construct new MV substation to serve new EV charging points, 11) provision of new secure enclosure for storage of refuse adjacent to amenity building, 12) all associated ancillary site development works including landscaping, drainage, relocation of onsite offset fill points and associated fuel vents, relocation onsite of existing standby generator, new air/water/vacuum services area, provision of vehicular and bicycle parking, provision of new outdoor customer seating area, construction of new boundary treatments and alterations to part of existing boundary wall along southern boundary of development site.
