Development Description:

The development will consist of reopening the Northern entrance gate of the main vehicular entrance gates (known as Belvelly entrance) to vehicular traffic to provide separation between incoming and exiting vehicles and a wider access for both. It will involve works to signage, road markings, tarmac surface and associated works at the entrance. There will be no alterations to the entrance gate, pillars or lodge structures. The entrance is within the curtilage of Fota House which is a Protected Structure RPS Ref. No.: 504/NIAH Ref. No.: 20907572 and Belvelly Bridge RPS Ref. No.: 2,988/NIAH Ref. No.: 20907578. The site which encompasses the existing Gate Lodge, boundary railings and double leaf gates is scheduled in the NIAH Ref. No.: 20907577.
