I, Damien McGovern, wish to apply for planning permission for proposed developments at site located at Lahard, Whitegate, Co. Cork. Proposed works:
1) Alteration and extension to a derelict cottage dwelling house, including the construction of new single-storey flat roof extension to rear, and all associated restoration/reconstruction works to the building, including re-construction of new slate roof with new flat roof dormer and rooflights to rear, minor alteration to the existing elevations, including provision of new flat-roof to existing front porch and re-lime plastering off external walls;
2) Renovation and alterations of 1 no. existing single-storey outbuilding on site, to be used as habitable accommodation, to form part of the existing 1 no. residential unit on site;
3) Installation of new wastewater treatment system on site;
4) All associated site development works including drainage works.
Part of the subject planning site is within the zone of notification of a Recorded Monument, listed as ‘House- Vernacular house’ (RMP Ref. No. CO 100-038), an adjoining neighbouring property to the north-east of the site.
