Survey information show that the existing surface is almost flat resulting in large areas of ponding on wet days, with water not draining properly for long periods (Image 3). The waterproofing currently requires regular maintenance with silt build-ups near outlets requiring clearance. As the existing bitumen has no roof covering or protective finish above, it is fully exposed to the sun allowing it to become brittle and in need of repair.
