There are two Protected Structures located within the application area of the Leixlip cable route, Deey Bridge and Lock (RPS B06-14) and Sandford Bridge (RPS B06-16). The proposed Moneycooley cable route is wholly within KCC (shown in orange) and is approximately 2.54 km in length crossing the townlands of Greenfield, Dowdstown and Railpark from south to north. The primary purpose of the proposed underground cables is to provide electrical power to the Dart+ West Railway project as granted under the DART+ West Railway Order (ACP Ref. 314232).
